Happy Birthday Dave

Today is Dave's birthday! Arden yelled surprise at his this morning when he came back from his run and sang him a very slow Happy Birthday Daddy song. We have a few surprises planned for him but he'll just have to wait for them.

He's an amazing husband and father. He works hard and rarely complains about anything. I can't imagine my life without him. Happy Birthday Dave. The kids and I love you very much.

Daddy's Little Helper

Dave enjoys detailing our cars. So while we were at my parents he washed my families cars. He ended finding him someone who like to help.

Cool Tricks

Arden loves to flip and jump around. Her favorite thing is to hold your hands, jump up and flip over. She has perfected the handstand in the middle of the flip. She'll gladly show it to you at anytime.

Overheard

Me: "Arden please pick up your shoes and take them to your room."

Arden: "Mommy, don't say bad words to me."

Driving Around Part II

Sometimes Arden and Thomas share. It's a tight squeeze but you will notice nobody is complaining.

Driving Around

Thomas and Arden have an electrical car at my parents house. Arden is a pro and loves to ride. But the little man will not sit quietly while his sister has all the fun. He can't reach the petals but he sure can pretend that he's driving.

Schools Out for Summer

To end Arden's preschool year the school had a party at a local park. We had so much fun that I only took a couple of pictures.

One thing that I've really enjoyed about Arden's class is that all of the kids play really well together and the parents all get along. We've been getting together once a week since schools been out. We all enjoy getting together.

NICU Celebration

Every year there is a NICU graduate celebration that we attend. This year Arden was old enough to enjoy the activities.

The bounce house is one of her favorites.

Enjoying a little cotton candy...while Thomas has figured out this is something he might like to try.

Our kids do not like mascots up close and personal. They would rather look from afar.

Body Parts

Today for the first time Thomas pointed to his nose when asked. He's growing up so fast.

Crashing

We are enjoying summer so much. We are usually up by 6:30 - 7 am and we go no stop all day. But the end of the day there is nothing left in us but to fall asleep.

Overheard

Tonight as I was getting Arden dress for bed she sucks in her stomach and says:

"Mommy, this is what you do if you want to show off your ice-pack."

15 Month Stats

Thomas had his 15 month doctor's appointment yesterday. Our pediatrician is leaving at the end of the month and we will miss her. She's been with us ever since Arden was born and is a fabulous doctor.

Thomas had a great appointment and left with three shots. He was not a happy camper but he enjoyed the lollipop he received at the end. This morning he looked down on his legs and ripped the band-aids off without even wincing...something I can't even do.

Weight: 22.6 lbs (25%)

Height: 31 3/4 inches (75%)

He is long and lean. Just like his Daddy.

Piggy Tales

If you spend anytime around Arden you will discover that she is very specific about her hair and does not like it pulled back or tucked behind her ears. She likes it shorter but has decided that she wants it a little longer but not too long.

So when she asked me to pull her hair up I was surprised and I was shocked when she returned from school with them still in her hair.

She loved them. However; she still wears them sporadically.

Blogging Back log

I have been so busy that blogging has had to take a backseat even thought I have every intention of blogging. Today I finally downloaded pictures from my camera and there were over 200 pictures on it.

Here's a sneak peak of what's to come.

15 Months Old

Today Thomas turns 15 months old. I find that so hard to believe. He still has his baby face but he is turning into such a toddler. He is very active and opinionated. He has a little bit of a temper but he is in the process of learning self-control. He is very gentle and loves to hold hands with you when he walks around. He wants to do everything his sister does even if he can't figure out how. He still loves to eat.

Here are a few things that stands out over the past month.

He has about 10-12 words.

He loves to yell for Arden. He calls her AR-DEE.

Banana is the only food item he can say. If he is very hungry he'll come into the kitchen asking for a banana.

He wants to run but his feet aren't as fast as his mind and he often falls trying to run.

He's so handsome and all boy.

Rockin It Out

Arden really enjoys her guitar and is constantly making up new songs.

She is such a blast.
